playing with more than one character

Post by ilkilkus »

I am on my second run through BG2 and am about to start TOB. Is there a way for me to pull my first character into my current party? I would like to play TOB with both of my characters along with some of the NPC's.

This is what you need to do:

1) copy your current saved game folder to the mpsave folder
2) export your second character from the right save
3) during the character arbitration when starting the multiplayer game, choose to create a new character and then hit the import button
4) save the freshly started multiplayer game
5) copy the right folder from mpsave to save
6) enjoy!
You might want to do this before you face the final battle; otherwise you'll miss out on a nice XP bonus. ;)

A last note: you can have only one protagonist, so one of your characters will no longer play an active role in the storyline.
