Ranger Woes

Seems that although rangers are listed as having spells on page 136 of the manual, my ranger can not use them. Anyone else confirm this? And I do have the wisdom needed before you ask

what level are you? you have to memorize through the spellbook option on the quick button screen then access through the radial menu. i actually forgot about spells for my ranger for half a level.

level 1 ranger/ 2 rogue..started as a ranger.

you're not a high enough level to get spells yet. I think they begin at level 4.

Yeah, you gotta be lvl4, and you r WIS does count.
If it's 3e rules, you have to have WIS 10+lvl of spell, i think.

Thanks. Thought it might be something like that but I couldn't find anywhere that it was stated.
