location of key to Redoran Vault (Treasury)

Post by dcatwell »

Not part of any quest that I am aware of, I wandered into Vivec, Redoran and walked into the Vivec Dralor Manor. In one of the rooms was a noble lady standing there by the name of Favela Dralor. Anyways, I was looking to see what I could find in the drawers of the dresser to the left of her. In the drawer I spied a key labeled "Dralor Treasury Key" and couldn't believe my luck. Well I finaly just took the key and she started yelling and attacking me. Soon a servant and fighter type joined in and started attacking me as well. Well, since they were attacking me I went ahead and killed them and was relieved to see no bounty appeared. I then went down to the Redoran Vaults and the key opened the 2nd of the two vaults there and I walked inside. there was only one guard and he walked out after I walked in and I quickly closed the gate behind him. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. I quickly picked the locks on all the chests. A couple chests are 90 difficulty, so hopefully you have a high security skill or something to boost your stats. There was so much loot there I couldn't carry it all. A Deadric battle axe, a full suit of ebony armor, ebony shortsword(s) and mace(s), many gems and coins! I saved before I opened the chests and found later that some are random (slight variation). I piled it all together, loaded up and used a Devine Intervention spell to go to Ebonheart with my newfound loot and sell what I wanted and kept the rest.

Yes-If you are a thief and you happen to wander into the tavern of Pelegiad than you encounter a character named Ahnassi (One of my favorite characters in the game). She happens to tell secrets to fellow theives aslong as you do small favors for her. She is the one who tells where the Rodoran treasury key is-exactly what you said. She also releases information on where to find other nice items aswell as the Redoran key. If you are a thief I highly recommend you talk to Ahnassi in Pelegiad.

But yes-I have to agree that I was like a kid in a candy store aswell-Money! Money! Money! :D

Its good money. Pretty good places to go early in the game. Sounds like you went with a high level character (high sneak level and ring of surroundings). I think if you have money and a good set of armor along with a decent weapon-going to treasuries is pointless. You will find plundering every shrine in the game more worth while.

When I plundered the redoran vault I was level 8 or 9.

BTW-What is the trev treasury? (It isnt Telvanni, is it?)
