I personally think this is a great idea. If anyone remembers Xan from BG1, he was a mage, and he carried a moonblade. (granted you couldn't given him a better weapon, but come on, a mage with a sword? sweetness!) anyway i hear they're going to implement this into IWD2. So depending on the subrace you choose, you will be rewarded with specific items. Moonblades will return, also Drow Ademantite weapons/armour that aren't affected by the sun are rumoured to appear. If anyone else has any idea/comments/rumours just lemme know
Opinions are like a$$ holes: Everyone has one, and they all stink!
Metal masks and claw-like weapons (long live Diablo 2 assassin) for monks! Hey come on! No weapons and no armor? Makes playing a monk a challenge when all those neat items start appearing (in ToB oh my goodness).
BG Monks shouldn't complain when they get a +4 unarmed combat goodie in chapter 4. Rather unbalancing, IMHO.
