Weapon Specialization and Off-hand weapons...
It doesn't mention it in the manual, but the +2 damage bonus for weapon specialization doesn't seem to apply to an off-hand weapon. My fighter/rogue is a level 7 fighter/level 1 rogue, with 14 Str, and thus a +2 damage modifier to melee attacks. He dual-wields 2 shortswords +1, and has weapon specialization in shortswords. On the character sheet, it says he does 1-6 +4, +1 piercing damage with his main weapon, which makes sense. +2 for Str modifier, +2 for weapon specialization, and +1 piercing because it's a magical weapon. But for the off-hand weapon, he only does 1-6 +1, +1 piercing damage. That's +1 for halved Str modifier, but no +2 or even +1 for weapon specialization. Is that according to 3rd Ed. rules, or is that a bug?

Anyone want to give it a shot?

Actually, the +1 attack bonus of weapon focus is applied to both shortswords for me too. However, the +2 damage bonus of weapon specialization does not seem to be applied. Bug or not, this seriously reduces the damage he can deal with his off-hand weapon, which as it stands is only 2-7 with a non-magical weapon. That really sucks when compared to 5-10 with the main weapon! With his off-hand barely dealing half damage, he might as well just punch with it!
