Spell malfunction

Spell malfunction

Whilst wandering round the corprusarium I found a number of chests which have level 100 locks on them. My security skill is pitiful (big dumb warrior) so I tried my scrolls of Ekash's lock smasher. Nothing happened. The spell just fizzled out. Is this supposed to happen or is it a bug? Other scrolls work fine down there.

What's the point value on that spell? If it's a range, and the lower end is less than 100, you may have simply rolled that.

The description of that spell just says "Opens 100 points on touch"

Sometimes that happens to me. Try loading and trying again. If that doesnt work-then keep trying if you are determined. I know its frustrating but I havent really solved the problem, either.

Using Scrolls

I'm not sure on this because I don't use scrolls but maybe it's failing because of low "magic arts". What Lvl is your Alteration or Mysticism? Or are scrolls always 100% chance of working? I am carrying abut 25 of them now but I hate pausing in battle to mess with them so they just sit in my inventory with my 93 potions lol.
