I am playing for the first time with Jaheira because I dont really like 'good' characters but I wanted to have a good group with 20 rep and thought it would be a nice change of pace.
I am realizing now in the middle of ToB that Jaheira is close to useless. The main issue I have with her is that between level 13 and 14 the experience required for these levels is 1.5 million and 3.0 million, respectively.
This means with her being a multi-class she will need over 6 million experience to reach level 14. This is at the end or very close to the end of the game. After this Druids get a level every 150,000 which is very fast at that point, but she will not attain these levels, at least not in any great quantity.
This means for almost all of ToB her spells will be at a stand still....WHAT A USELESS *****. She isnt as good as my other fighters (myself, a berserker, anomen and haer'dalis) and her spell book pales in comparison to Aerie and Imoen, my Primary spell casters. Can ANYONE tell me a good reason to take Jaheira?!!?? ( other than insect plague)

Other than insect plague? she has another spell?
I like the fire elementals, and while there may be other better fighters, she is not that bad with the right equipment, and has the added asset of a few heal spells, and some pretty descent buffers..and entagle works well in some situations in conjunction with a couple fireballs from Edwin.![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/)

Lord of Lurkers
Guess what? I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!

Her wit. Humor. Animal summoning (Then again, I guess Anomen can top that with his Animal and Undead summons.....)
Ummmmmmm.............Nope. I can think of a good reason to keep Anomen and all those other most hated NPCs, but nothing else for Jaheira. I just take her along because I'm too lazy to boot her out of my team. (I'm a Chaotic Nuetral Totemic Druid anyways, so I just as well take her...)

she is a superb cheese npc....
duh...you knew that was coming...from me...
try this, buy up all the chain contingency scrolls you can get, and in tob do a potion swap trick with jahiera...load up a triple
natures beauty
storm of vengence
globe of blades....
then activate g whirlwind, and rush right among your foes...tehy will be blinded, and spell disrupted, and be cuisinarted while she is attacking them...at high levels, a fighter druid is a superb killer...
i personally like to change her at beginning into a fighter totem druid with sk...spirit animals really look cool....

I would like to use her without a lame chain contingency swap, and right now she only has 1 level 7 spell, so I dont know how you can use storm, creeping doom, and natures beauty.
I wanted to take her because I have taken Cernd a couple times, and that looks like what I will be doing from here on out.

The long wait between lv 13 and 14 is indeed a pain in the butt. However, once you get past that hump her abilities increase 10 fold at least. As for her only having 1 lv 7 spell that changes in a hurry.
At one level, not sure which... she gains 4 or 5 lv 7 slots at once.
Personally I like to give her the staff of the woodlands if playing the basic game. My new favorite weapon for her though is the Bloodspear from the Soulafien Mod. This thing is truly brutal.
Jaheira is indeed a force to be reckoned with. Takes patience to get her to full potential but it's well worth it and she is pretty darn good at any stage of the game as well.
Unless your playing an evil party I think Jaheira is a mainstay of any party.

That is due to the design of the druid from original AD&D rules. Once she breaks the 3 million XP mark her druid abilities should develop very quickly.Originally posted by Querschen

I found Jaheira to be a very useful character because of her fighting, healing and offensive spellcasting abilities, even if she wasn't as high level as the other party members. Something important to note is that her spells are just as effective at lvl 13 as they will be at lvl 20. The ability to resist the spell is dependant on the target.
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't.
I think I think, therefore I might be.

She broke that XP cap in the final series of fights with melissan...Until then she only has one level 7 spell and is garbage. I know Cernd Leveled quickly once breaking throu that mark and he was great the whole time, but Jaheira gets her abilities tooooo late to even be considered.
Chain Contingency is lame on Druids. Play by the rules.
