I'm in Ch. 3, in the tomb in the far north of the Coldwood. I killed the succubus and put 3 gems on the pedestals. Find myself lacking a fourth gem, I examined the fourth pedestal. It told of a prince who lied broken on the floor. Taking that as a hint, I tried bashing the pedestal. Unlike the other 3, it actually broke. I had solved part of the puzzle, or so I thought. But what to do next? I wandered around for a while, looking desperately for some sort of clue. Then I checked my inventory. Turned out the fourth gem had been there all along, right next to a stack of sapphires I had mistaken it for. Then a sinking feeling hit me...maybe I shouldn't have destroyed that pedestal...
Please tell me you were supposed to bash that pedestal!

I have...to go...through that...whole...damn...dungeon...again. (weeps uncontrollably)
The other 3 were invincible...why wasn't that one?!
BTW, thanks for the reply, though it wasn't the answer I wanted to hear...

Unfortunately, I have an obessive compulsion to finish the quests I start.
I went and redid it...it was annoying, but I'm through it now.
