Stuck in House of Gems II

OK...I may just not be looking in the right place. I hit the first area from the Hall of Lights and cleared it out all the way to the tower. Now I have entered the main area from the Myth Drannor side, defeated the golem and wandered thru the lightning room. I've gone up both sets of stairs and they both enter the same room. I've gone out the western door and cleared the courtyard and freed the body from the wall, drying up the small Pool there.

However, I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get to the other side of that courtyard (where the hinge devise is). I can't find any passages from the western side to the east/northeast side, the bridge won't let me down the railing along the front of the House of Gems deadends and I can't find an entrance there (that was pretty stupid having a deadend path). The only other place I see is inside where the stairs were. There is a door but it is barred and I cannot exit it.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The north-eastern site of the tower is just on the same level with the ground but the layout of the map tends to confuse. You can access this area from the outsite of the tower, you can't reach from inside.
