Chapter 1 Theme Spoiler

Post by Wraithus Dire »

I thought this was neat planning by the writers of NwN:

Throughout the city of Neverwinter there are Priests of Helm kicking around offering blessings:

Each Priest of Helm (later discovered to be a False Helmite) has a dialogue option regarding Helm/his faith/his symbol/etc. -> When asked about specific things regarding Helm, the False Helmite gives very mixed and confused answers.

My favourite is the dialogue that involves the PC asking the Helmite what the symbol of Helm means.

Question: Is there any way to solve the mystery of the plague without going through the finding of the cure? Does anyone have a character with (for example) very high charisma and wisdom that can decipher the clues before the attack during the creation of the cure?

Would be a neat easter egg if there was a way.

Wisdom gets you nothing but some smart-ass remarks...

If you get a "blessing" from one of the False-Helmites, does it harm you in any way? It doesn't seem to do any immediate harm, but perhaps the effects take a while to kick-in?

yeah, I just started a new game and I wasn't blessed by them yet, but in my last game I think I was blessed twice...nothing happened though......maybe it's one of those things that are plot related...if you get blessed maybe something happens to you...dunno
Woman.exe, good program, but needs an instruction manual.

Well Desther mentioned they were spreading the plague through their blessings but I don't think it has an affect on your character.
It is best to be thought a fool and stay silent, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Hmm...if my character had known that he was immune to the Wailing Death in the first place...damn, to Hell with the Waterdhavian creatures! :D
