Seeking Alchemists

Post by Fnord »

I have an exquisite ring that I'd like to put a Summon Golden Saint spell on, but I'm not having an easy time succeeding even with 125 int and 100 enchant. I understand that brewing some Fortify Intelligence potions could help me out a lot, so I'm wondering if anyone knows a good Alchemist's shop that sells the necessary ingredients in a replenishable stock. Nalcarya in Balmora has plenty of bloat, but where can I find some ash yam? Any help much appreciated.

On a somewhat side note, what kinds of strategies do you forum goers use for recharging enchanted items? Black Hand's Dagger is a supremely powerful weapon, but keeping it charged enough to make use of its abilities is becoming a pain. It is my hope that I'll be able to easily summon and soul trap a Golden Saint, and that this will be sufficient to charge up my dagger every now and again. Is there an easier or more effective way? Please, cheese me. :D

You can find many alchemists within Sadrith Mora and all the other island cities in that general area. Not sure where you can find one that has ash yams. Maybe a bartender is carrying that ite,-it is a food after all. (Check Alchimists first, though.)

Second question-if I want to recharge items-the quickest way is through soul gems-though that might not be worth it-it depends.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Ash Yam

The fellow who offers you Imp.Cult membership has an infinite Ash Yam. Just do not forget to sell some back to get him the number making bartering a bit less boring (and making hagling possible). The alchemist in the Caldera Mages Guild may have it, too. Then the fort at Al'ruhn comes in mind - the fellow at the bedroom have some rare components.

P.S. I've found the recharging is very effective at high enchant skill and very good to raise it. All you need are enough common gems and some hunting in certain places, scamps and daedras couldn't be a big problem if enchating is 100, i guess. Petty are ever better to raise the skill - and even more easy to fill. You might have to visit Tel Branora often then, though.
