optional Bahlspawn powers

I downloaded the optional bahlspawn powers of the internet and installed them (unzipped to the dir I was directed to unzip them in)

I have read what they do but im confused The ability "Dark Taint"
and a few others that dont work!!!!!!!!!
Doesent do anything! I cast it on an enemy and nothing happens! I looked into the Textx box and it dident even say {blank's majic resistence to high} or somthing does anyone know how to fix this?
I think these powers are neat lokking and everything but shouldent they at least work?
