We've probably done this before, but if so, it's been a while, and I don't really care. And so, with that brief non sequitur, we reveal to your gaze the following gold-plated question:

If you could be a sort of anthropomorphized animal (in other words, a cat/human, horse/human, dog/human, etc), what would it be, and why? :)

Bird/human
To have wings and a birds head would look really cool, and travel would be faster and cheaper.

I cant make up my mind here... Either a crow - They can fly, they seem to be rather smart, and they look noble even when picking food out of a trash can.

Or... some kind of longlived turtle... I dont know my biology too well, but isnt it some kind wich life expectancy exceeds that of a human?

As figured by my DF charactor, I'd be a cat/human. I'm allergic to cats, but I love the wild animals: tigers, panthers, leopard... My old bedroom is decorated leopard print, and some *very* good friends invested a few hundred dollars in a large white tiger painting for me. :)

Besides, the cat ears and a tail would just be so sexy. :D

I would have to go with the horse/human. My first exposure to centaurs was in lewis' chronicles of narnia, and I thought they were so interesting.

@AC, I believe that Dot said 'crow', not 'cow'. However, if you have photographic evidence of a cow looking noble while picking food out of a trash can then I am prepared to appreciate your point of view :D .

As for me, I would like to be a turtle too. However, as you may have guessed, I have a strong spiritual affinity with frogs, my natural brothers in the animal kingdom..or maybe an owl...I'm not entirely sure.

Oh, I thought he said "cow". I was wondering what he meant when he said that they could fly... :o :D

LOL @frogus

Well if you want me to pick a specific bird:
1)Bluejay
2)Crow
3)Kestrel
4)Almost any hawk

All of the above are good

Did anyone say they did want you to pick a specific bird? :D ;)

Indeed I did, Although regardless dreams I think a cow is very close to what I am now... Doesnt do much save eat food all the day... ;)
Besides, the cat ears and a tail would just be so sexy.
A cat would be my third choice for this reason. :) lynx ears in particular makes me drool... should they be on a human that is... :o

Well I was thinking that the forum could use some enlightenment by my wise words. :p ;) :D

I dont know where cat falls on my list
Aligator would be second choice
Any other big lizard would be third
Then I guess a cat of some sort.

Hmm

I'd say human/horse for the obvius male improvement... but that isnt my final answer.

My final answer would have to be a Moleman. Half human Half mole, kinda that creepy guy who lives in the basement of the burnt down apartment complex. Secretly I'd burrow to banks and such and be a world infamous thief... the mole man. Yeah.

@Dotskij: Some large tortoises can live considerably longer than humans, up to 150 years is recorded, but it is thought they can be up to 300 years old, perhaps more.

I don't really want to mix physiological features with another species, I think my sex appeal would suffer. :D Functionally speaking rather than aestethically, I'd like to have albatross wings so I could fly like them!

LOL! You'd obviously be popular at parties. ;) I was thinking along similar equine lines, but more for the power and grace of it all. Maybe that, or a cat hybrid of some sort. :)
