Am I missing something, my guys NEVER seem to hit the enemy and when they do it's very low score for what their abilities are.

In one battle that went 7 rounds, I only got one hit durring the whole thing before my guys were all killed?!

Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles would get more hits on the enemy!!!!!!!!

Also, the Dark Naga's Lair, how do I beat it? I get killed before even getting through the door.

Any Ideas?

The low attack scores when fighting can be really frustrating sometimes, mainly because it is a turn based combat system. Try to get your attack bonus as high as possible. Before entering a diffucult fight boost the Attack bonus with magic (prayer, aid etc) and use the weapons with the higher enchaments.

About the Dark Naga Lair you are talking about the lair in the first level of the cotacombs??

I have +4 weapons and all the amulets, rings, etc. I swap them out for the better ones as they come along and give it to those who seem to need it most.

I'll try the magic you suggested.

Yeah it's the one on the 1st level of the Catacombs.

I'm also having trouble with the 2 rooms with the Skeleton Knights (same area). I tried the clerics "sheild of faith" (?), bull strenth and a few others at the same time, but the usual result.

What level are by the way? From my experience from the game i find that the 1st level of the catacombs is by far the most diffucult area in the game. It has some of the hardest fights. Maybe is a good idea to get as much as experience as you can get before going there. Have you left any places unfinished before entering the catacombs?

Yeah it's the one on the 1st level of the Catacombs.
You have to use magic for this battle, try to use some area damage spells and boost your characters AC to avoid as many hits as possible. Another tip when fighting large groups is to try and charm a few to help you.(Charm animal, charm person, command. mass suggestion are some spells that usually help)

Do you have a Paladin or a Cleric with your party, Turning Undead maybe the best ability that you can have in a game full of undead. Try using that.

Hope that helps you a little :)

My guys are 9s and 10s. I've read some posts that people say they are 15s in this area (can't remember if it was on this forum).

What's a normal level for this area?

I have a paladin, cleric, 2 fighters, thief, and mage.

The levels are normal my main character was a paladin level 10 or 11 i don't remember correctly but i was going with a 5 member party. It is however possible to reach the catacombs at level 15 if you play solo or a 2 member party.

Anyway have you managed the fight at Naga's Lair?
Another thing, you can get down to the other levels of the catacombs before clearing the first level. Down there you will be able to gain another level before returning back and it will probably make things easier.

I finally got done with the Naga Lair and cleared most of the 1st level. :D

I took your advice and started on the 2nd level to get them all to level 10 first.

Thanks
