fun with keldy...via sk, of course...

Post by UserUnfriendly »

(before we get to the meat of this post, a short plug from our sponsor, for bun bun version 4!!!)

i have yet to try this, so dont even know if it works....

bun bun version 5 will be, in honor of chloe, a multiple pally immune fest...

will copy all the affects lines for all classes of pallys, inq chav, and undead hunter, and paste to berserker....level up, and i should have a berserker immune to hold, charm, lv drain, fear, and moral failure...

now the real reason inquisitor is ok on soa, but chavalier and undead hunter rules on tob is draw on holy might...turns chav into a deathmachine, if you are using kundane and +4 blade on main hand...bun bun, all versions after 3, comes with bhaalpws.spl version, which is not taken away after spell hold, and when you add enrage, at high levels, you have aroudn +14 to damage..include the kensai bonuses, and why even bother with sorc powers???

anyway, thats for later, after chloe and other mods come out...this time around, i will build version 4 after soa, tob, and full eng patch, and balderdash fixes..so it should be compatable with any patched game...

back to keldy...

fooling around with inq immunies, i noticed all inq have two lines in the affects tab, that say

"disable button"

if you delete the lines, keldy can turn undead!!!!

i doubt if this will corrupt the game significantly, so if you like turn undead, but love the inq kit, just delete the two lines, and you can turn undead!!! and keep the dispells, and true sight, and holy avenger...without rolling for a goody two shoes pally....

As far as I know, the "disable button" line simply means that the "Turn Undead" button is removed from the Inquisitor's toolbar (since an Inquisitor can't use that button). Are you sure that merely restoring the button to the toolbar will allow an Inquisitor to turn undead?

For the sake of comparison, many of the other classes' special abilities, such as a Stalker's backstabbing, are not controlled by "Effects". Instead, those abilities are granted by some other kind of coding.

But you're certainly right about the immunities. :)

actually thats TOO correct..simple thief backstabbing is not an affects lines, but assassin backstab multiplier is...

fighter thaco bonus and ac are not controlled, but kensai is..hence bun bun is possible...

pally immunies are, but the racial bonuses are not...

its a mess...
