Whats the best class to solo NWN???

I was just wondering which class is best if you want to go through the game without a mercenery, familiar and summoned creatures. also what stats would you recommend for the class?

Experiment. The obvious choices for classes would be a Rogue with eventual dual-classing to a Fighter type. On the other hand, a Mage dualled to a Fighter would also work. I played all the way through with my Paladin and Tomi without needing any magic apart from my Priestly magic. The solution is potions if you can't cast buff's.

Monk w/ a little Rogue shouldn't be too bad. If you want, you could have a high hide/move silently to avoid many battles. The rogue levels to take disarm/unlock skills, obviously.

You wouldn't be that high on HP, but when you don't get hit it doesn't matter :P

Monk / Rouge could work but why avoid battles.....exp is the most valuable thing in NWN, and monks are nearly unhittable so fighting wouldn't be a problem. thnx for the idea though, will try out tonight.

I soloed the game ( except dragons, had no greater swordsman belt ) with a thief fighter combo.
The first 5 levels I took thief the rest fighter and he owned.
Dual wielding Desert wind and Ice talon, with the cleave feat is deadly, not to mention the countless sneak attacks and crits.
If an encounter was too strong to be beaten in close combat I hammered em away with scrolls I found ( Use magic device feat ).
With each kill, I grow wiser, and with added wisdom, I grow stronger.

Don't split monk or mage levels... You end up with a +1 fist or a handful of Magic Missiles.
