Will Barun, the smith at the Trading Post in Chapter 3 upgrade my forge items from Chapter 1, or do I have to bring him whole new items for Chapter 3? This may have been asked before but I couldn't find the answer in a search.
Thanks in advance.

Jesus saves! And takes half damage!

His recipes are exactly the same as Marrok in Chapter 1. The only differences are, his prices are alot higher, and the results are better versions of the Chapter 1 weapons. You can use the Chatper 1 weapons if you want, but you don't have to. You can give him a Katana +1 and an Adamantine and still get Sword Saint Katana +4.
That's why I usually recommend people not paying for smithing until Chapter 3, since you can get weapons in Chapter 2 that are equal or better than whatever you've smithed in Chapter 1 AND you save on the rarer components, like Diamonds and Adamantine.
The only thing that I would recommend getting in Chapter 1 is the Sword Saint Katana +1. Why? It's the only katana that I know that has a aura. I've found I think 2 or 3 other katanas, and even though some of them does elemental damage, I think one does acid, none of them had auras. So make a SSK +1 in Chapter 1, then use a katana +1 and Adamantine to make a SSK+4. That way, you'll have two swords with auras. It's not the most powerful combination of katanas you can wield, but it looks nice.
