Go to any dwemer ruins and you can probably pick up those 3 items. You are guarenteed to find some in the nearest dwemer ruins a little ways up a penninsula North West of town. Just follow the coast, pass a couple daedric shrines, and you should find the dwemer ruins and the 3 pieces of loot you need. But you can find those 3 pieces in any given dwemer ruin, potentially.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Yes that posses a problem....but there are many ways to evade this:
1) Through saving and loading, you could try to use brute force, but this could be difficult. :D
2) Using stealth could be good. If you have invisibility or chameleon, use those, maybe you can get the things you need without fighting anything
3) You can go off do other quests, gain experience and items so that this wont be as much of a challenge
4) Summon creatures in the fight, so that you dont have to take the damage or do the work

You can also go to the Dwemer ruins, near the Imperial fort. (Can't remember the name) I think it's closer than the other.

The one near Balmora, right? Yeah, that ones is pretty easy. You should be able to take on many of the enimies in there. Its just north of the fort, up the road a bit-use the fold-away map to help you out a bit to find it.

Check your journal

The Thief quest tells you where to find the khajitt. At that point, it's up to you to decide whether to persuade him to give you the dwemer stuff or just take it.

I personally couldn't persuade him so I just took. :D

If you really want to know where the key is :( spoiler)

The khajitt has the key.

I just stole the stuff ( didn't fight back as they pounded me) and got back to the theives guild then paid to fix the price on my head. I couldn't persuade him either and pickpocket didn't help at all.
