Chars for soloing

I would like to know what you think would be the best class and race to solo the game with. I know that all races and classes are good in there own right. I would just like to know what you all think is the best in your opinion.

I have tried it with a Half-Elf Paladin/Monk, it's a powerful combination but you have to be patient at the first few levels. (in fact you have to be patient if you want to solo with any class)

Also judging by my party i had the first time, a Human Paladin/Cleric would also be a nice combination. I always choose Paladin because at some point their Saving throws are so high that they can hardly be effected by magic.
