THAC0 for clerics

Post by sigurd »

So it was mentioned all classes would cap out at THAC0 0, but now im close to level 30, and for the past 5 levels at least no THAC0 improvement was done for my clerics, and they have 5 or 6 now. Can anyone confirm this?

If my memory serves, at an absurdly high level (I don't think it was quite 30, but close) my Anomen still had a THAC0 greater than zero.

And if you ask me, this is how it should be. THAC0's should have different caps for different classes, or ultra-high-level fighters lose a lot of the little advantage they have.

The "caps" are class dependant, defined in a 2DA file, and IIRC they are :
Fighter = 0
Cleric = 6
Thief = 10
Mage = 12 or 14
