This week the translated ver. of the game will be available in my country (finally!) and, amogst other things like party creation, i'm considering to start with the Heart of Fury mode.
Should i start in the usual way instead to familiarize with the game, classes, party etc. ?
Tnx in advance!

Is your country in Europe? Because if it is, that means I'll be able to get the game this week too (about bloody time... I waited long enough)!

Heart of Fury is not for the timid. Starting a game in Heart of Fury mode right off the bat is not a wise thing to do. As level one characters, no matter how well you make your party, they are simply no match for the enemies you face. That difficulty was designed specifically for level 15 and above parties. That means you should play through on normal difficulty first, get your party up to level 15 then start a new game with that party in Heart of Fury. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure with enough patience it is theoretically possible to succeed in Heart of Fury right off the bat. I actually tried Heart of Fury just for the hell of it with a level one party, but I was barely able to take out the first goblin I faced and had to reload several times before taking him down.

Hey DoctorB, glad to hear, that there are other people, who tried this out, too
My level 1 hof-party consists of five shield-dwarf barbarians and one aasimar cleric. Several reloads for the first goblins here as well.. then I kicked one of the goblins in the house with 2 goblins.
These two seemed a bit weaker than the one outside, so I rushed in, kicked one and got my first much-needed level-up.
From then on I managed to kill the rest of the goblins in the docks with the same tactic except the warehouse.
Reloaded several dozen times but it was just too tough.. like 15 goblins rushing when you enter.
I was level 4 by then, just 100 exp away from 5.
I cluaconsoled everybody up to level 6 (+100exp +1level ) then I managed to kick one goblin out of this horde, and from then on things kept steadily going.
I'm now in chapter 5 underdark and just defeated the elder brain, there are still a lot of difficult parts, but with all heroes around level 23, they have more options to choose different tactics and it's not so hard anymore as it was in the beginning.
If you liked IWD1 and want want to have a lot more fun, I suggest you try this out because you'll definately spend a lot more time playing IWD2, so you have a hang on it longer ...

Where there's a will, there is a way.
And if there is no way, then we're going to hack and shoot it clear!

Yeah, tell me about it.
I live in denmark, it´s scheduled to be released the same date here, too, after two dull months of waiting.
Dude, I swear I´m gonna get a fit and start throwing things if it doesn´t hit the shelves by friday!

If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.
