and get back to fields of slaughter. I have scoured every room and can't find any more monsters, sure I killed them all. Tried both stairways but no dice, won't let me leave. I'm really stuck, please help!

Did a message actually pop up and say that your mission is complete?

It is possible the message popped up and I just missed it but still

can't leave the room. The stairway I want is the one on the East wall, correct? There is only that one and the one at the North at the top of the map. Can't get either to work.

So frustrated I've just about had it, arggghhh!

You must have missed a couple because after you kill all of the demons, Nickademus appears and thanks you for helping him. At that point the exit opens.

Keep looking, there IS a monster on the lose still. I'm sure I don't need to say it, but make sure you've actually uncovered all the map, there are a lot of nooks and crannies in the level. Split your party up, set the game to auto-pause when an enemy is sighted, try and cover as much as the map with your group as possible, and good luck.

hi there and all!

first u have all ur characters un-hide. dun invis urself or use invis spell so that any monsters can see you. walk around corners and near the sides of the map. are there doors that you can open and close? if there are i strongly suggest u check there cos i had encounters where the monster was stuck behind a door. It was in the room behind the door after i led it into the room and closed the door. (hee.. hee.. tricky way of divide and conquer) then i opened the door but could see the monster. nevertheless i tried to hide or save game at that spot but couldn't cos it said "cannot save monsters around" so i walked away from the room/door, far enuff to save game. Then i reloaded the game and walked towards that room, sure enough the monster popped out from behind the door.

Another method would be.... to keep saving the game every few inches u move. cos if there was any monster in the vicinity, you would not be able to save game:B

n.b. of course u could also area-spell the place until the message dialog says "monster taken damage" etc.

I've seen this happen, there: you think all the monsters are dead, but one or two have survived. Literally check every corner of every room.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I just had this happen to me - I couldn't find that last monster. Finally I quit moving my party around to see if the monster would hunt them down, and sure enough, it showed up for slaughtering after a couple of minutes. ;)
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Are you out of the etherial(?) plane? I couldn't get out until I changed back to the normal world. Use the levers in the game room, the same ones you used to play the battle game.

I did everything I could find..except doing the "favor" for Nicadaemas as he always said "not just yet". I had opened all doors and found the treasure rooms and killed all three druids.

This thread refers to that favor, I belive. Spoiler: There are no druids then, just summoned demons. I spread my party out, to watch several doors, intersections, and corners; I then scouted with one char. until the last ones showed up.
