Main character goes berserk in combat

Some info about him
*He's Chaotic Evil
*He's a fighter
*He wields duskblade (halberd)
*He does not have a bad attribute
*He goes berserk when he sees combat and looses control.

And it hasn't always been like this! His kit is a normal fighter.
I suspect it might have something to do with Duskblade the halberd +2, because it started soon after equipping this item on him.

I tried stripping him naked, but he still goes berserk as soon as he's close to combat, automatically.
This means i loose control over him and he kills my teammates if there are no enemies close.
I tried Restoration on him, to no avail ..
In his status, he's not cursed or influenced by a negative attribute or spell ..
Other people who use Duskblade does not get crazy as he does.

Help me please !!

Where in the game are u? High light for spoiler At a point in the game the main char turns into the slayer and attacks every one insight.......

Not coming so far yet, chapter 3 i think .. Right now doing sidequests in athkatla .. He is not the slayer yet. He's totally mad when in combat !

I played with another party earlier where my main was a thief.. But now i play with a customized party (imported from multiplayer game) and my main is a fighter... and last time my main char (thief) never berserked ... I came as far as the underdark with my previous party.

He does this even when the Duskblade isn't in his possession, and he's not wearing anything?

True, he does this even when stripped every bit of his clothes and possesisons .... No odd status is attached to him, doesnt seem like he's cursed or anything, i even tried uncurse and greater restoration on him to no avail .. Seems like he has really gone mad !!

He is a Chaotic Evil / Half-Orc / Fighter ...

Have you picked up and used the cursed beserking 2h sword at any point? Might be a residual effect from that.

If you have Shadowkeeper try looking at the fighters "Affects" page. At less than 18th level for a normal fighter that hasn't gone through Spellhold, there shouldn't be any entries on that page.

Yes i think i have used the cursed 2handed berserkersword.
But at the "Affects" page is completely empty on him, but not on my other fighter.
Now if it is this berserkersword that caused this residual effect how can i restore him to his normal state ? This is really annoying ...

It sounds like the beserker blade set a variable that's "stuck." I would think some of the programmers here could tell you what to look for.

You should probably have a look in Shadowkeeper and check if there are any variables stuck. If so you just reset that varable and your should be running again...

How am I supposed to know which variables? there are a lot...
