Bah! New bug came with patch

Post by Loredweller »

They talked me into patching and what now? "The Guild Steward here in Balmora is Eydis Fire-eye" when i ask for orders  And who am i asking, how do you think? Eydis Fire-eye herself, of course  Why, how do you think? Because her disposition appears to be 0 instead of 100 i've taken care to raise to before (and with Kaye in Ebonheart the same story, i guess it's not the end of it)

:(

I'm sorry, I had no idea patching your game would do this...and I've never heard of a bug like that, either. Have you tried consoling in a new NPC for each one affected? That's the only thing I can think of...oh and you'd get to mercilessly slaughter the originals too :D

I use the console only as far as it goes - only when it's really necessary (NPC gone etc). Even if i wish to see what some item really is, i do not keep it in savegames and do not continue after i've had a look. I've never tampered with NPC disposition, i have other and ingame means to deal with it. BTW, the Sadrih Mora Guildmaster had his welcome to my character lowered, too, although not to zero, and somebody else as well. But not all, far not all, most have kept the acceptance level unchanged. What comes in mind, i might be drugged with very strong Fortify Personality last time met them before the patch (+138 or +230, or so), and the NPC left intact are ones i that time haven't spoken to.

Definitely, boosting the personality very high is leading to such effect. Just now persuaded Ienas Sarandas to start a new life. To be sure and save the money (the purse became slender while exploring all the Scar ;) bribes, you know  ) i drank a strong enough Fortify Personality (+158). I do not know about Ienas (hasn't been in the Temple still), but first two merchants i've visited stright after that to return the goods at my return back after a while and with normal personality had only 27 disposition. I postponed other three that time (just went to sleep untill the drug weared out), those were normal, after returning the goods the disposition jumped to 100.
Just wonder if it's a bug or it's suposed to be that way (before the patch on such occasions the disposition just were going back to normal)
