Reality check: Basillius

Post by nephtu »

My party & I met up with Basilius who tragically is no longer with us, and he passed along a holy symbol. A couple of commoner types and that annoying child have told us he was bad, but I have no idea who wants the symbol - I'm in Chapter 2 ATM, so it's possible the quest isn't out there yet - I'm going to try Belegost and the temple, but I just want a reality check - is that reasonable? Is the quest acessible?

No spoilers, please, on this one - I'm going to try to muddle through, with probably silly consequences - we found the talking chicken *after* the mage's tragic demise

Thanks in advance!

Talk to the Town Crier in Beregost, then head for the Temple to the west and talk to the main guy, then come back and talk to the Town Crier again. Everything should become clear.

BTW, that Mage who died tragically could have sold you lots of neat goodies. Too bad he's dead now.

Well, that's annoying.....

The mage wouldn't talk to me, and the flesh golems were pulping everyone in short order. Do you need to do the chicken bit first, then? Or is ot just a problem I'm having with NPC interactions - like when Minsc said Boo didn't like me?

Whatever the case, thanks for your help.

Urgh....

So, do I need to go back to before I killed him? I've done a few hours worth since, but it's hardly the end of the world. Grrr....

AND Claw of Kaskeroth (sp?)... that's a nice item.
Just a pity about the -2 constitution. :(

Dead chicken?

I've played through the game a bunch'o times but everytime the mage tries to cure the chicken (Mellicamp...is that his name?) the chicken dies. Does this happen to everyone? Or am I just doing it wrong.
When life gives you lemons, you clone those lemons and make Super-Lemons.

Look, you're trying to tie two granny knots with a loop and it just ain't happening lady.

Re: Dead chicken?

The chicken could go either way--its random (so to speak). If you want him to live, try saving just before the spell is cast, and keep reloading until it works.
