Mindshield, what does it do?

What exactly does it protect you from? Is the mindshield from DoMT the same as that from potion of mind focusing??

IIRC it is supposed to protect u from any mind spells

Confuion, charm, chaos etc...

I believe there are many kinds of mindshield that protect you from different things (and often the description is a little unclear about it).

The mindshield icon on the character portrait could mean you are protected from any or any combination of the following ...

Charm
Domination
Confusion
Psionics
Even hold I think..
ahem... there should be even more... but...

Mind Shield can be a combination of defenses against mind attacks, or all of them. If you want to check the specifics, the item description itself should tell you what it is, or you can use an editor like IEEP and check which spells exactly it protects you from.

But this is no item... this is an affect from DoMT.. maybe I could check my affects page with SK... before and after... next time in WK then.

Mind Shield is an effect from items. If the Deck of Many Things has Mind Shield included ( I don't rmemeber if one of the cards gives you that), then you can use IEEP to break it down and see what it provides.

You can get it when playing against Aesgareth. If you draw the emperor it gives a permanent? mindshield.

the perminent effect is a trick, it

either wears off in a week, or makes you extra vulnerable to charm and etc...someone posted a long time ago it is a booby prize...
