I am stuck in Durlag's Tower. I know how to complete the level, but it doesn't seem to work. My protagonist's inventory holds: the Mallet Handle, the Mallet Head, the Grapes, the Odd Looking Key, and the Switch for an Engine (I already gave the gem to that warder). I have all this, I'm pretty sure I know where to use each item, my inventory is not full, but when I click the cursor with the manipulate arrows, I just get the same message I got when I first enterred the level. I've tried reloading from before I enterred the level, but to no avail.
Also, I can't seem to get the Durlag's Pride sword stuff to work. You have to read the four stories, correct? Does the order matter? My game is not patched. Will it fix all of this?

Re: Patch
Well, I moved BG & my saves to a internet-connected computer and installed the patch. Now I can fix the mallet, ring the gong, make the wine, and light up the sword. Still, two of the Warders won't talk to me. The one now tells me to talk to his brothers first, and the other two won't talk to me. What else should I try?
