New Game
I am going to start a new game perhaps tonight, I was curios on what you all would reccommend I choose (character stats) based on my short attention span and my rookieness to such large rpg's.
I am thinking Fighter/Thief Heavy on the fighter..

Thief is a good chooice, there aren't any good thief NPC's in the game.Originally posted by RandomThug
List some of those abilities please ( (
I won't recommand a kensai thief as a rookie, a kensai is hard in the beginning.
As a thief I would recommand a swashbuckler, a decent fighter, and a good thief.
The assasin is also pretty good, but he won't be a very good thief in the beginning when you have a full party.
I would go for a swashbuckler, pure thief, of multi-class fighter/thief
All with 18 dex, adn a strenght and con of 14 or more.
Then you will get a decent fighter and a good thief.
(PS. if you intend to use melee weapons (or even dual wield as a swashbuckler) go for a katana)
Good luck, and let us know what it has become

Well, a kensai/thief has everything that a kensai and thief do individually. Consider: a kensai/thief can wear full plate armor and use Carsomyr, if you've got ToB installed ("use any item" thievish ability). That effectively kills the kensai's disability of wearing any armor. You become little short of a god. You can use the kensai ability to get maximum damage out of each backstab. You get +1 to hit and to damage every 3 levels. You get a -1 speed bonus every 4 levels. You get -2 to AC as a bonus. You can use your kensai ability once per day every 4 levels.
Happy?

Nonsense! I mentioned Ilmater, what more could you possibly want? A thread devoted to dwarven throwers?
Is that a slight against the Dwarven nations????

No, it's a reference to this.
