fighter/wizard need help

Post by softaren »

hallo,

i need help on stats for a fighter/mage. i wanna use two handed weapons, preferably a twohanded sword. with magic for range and summons for help in combat.

also i want this char to have elvish blood, thinking about making a fighter/wizard, though sorceror would fit more for my roleplaying purpose but since elves are good wizards...
i am not making this char to be a powerchar really.. but stat recommendation would be nice since i have no experience on how the stats effect this game.
is charisma important?

also... what levels do you recommend in each class?

one more thing, this is the first time i am playing nwn, so please no spoiler or telling what weapon is good. but you can tell me what feats are nice :)

i dont know if ill be soloing with this char, perhaps... is romancing possible in this game?

oh... one last thing, if i would go fighter/sorceror, would the xp penalty 'feel' alot? since i think the sorceror fits more into my roleplaying aspect.

thanks for the input.

The problem with sorcerer multiclass is that it already takes quite a while to get new spell levels for a Wizard when multiclassing, and sorcerer just increases that problem.

I suggest using your spells mostly to buff your fighting capablities. (Bulls Strength, Cat's grace, haste, Stoneskin etc.) Two Handed Sword is pretty good if you can get your strength up - which isn't too hard in NWN.

Feats: All up to you really. I'd suggest Focus and Spoecialization in the weapon you are going to use, Power Attack and Cleave as well as some of the more interesting stuff such as Knockdown later on.
