first of all, i don't like clerics. don't know why. maybe' it's because i had to play a crappy stats cleric in PnP, as nobody wanted to, and i got the short straw. or maybe it has to do with my hatered towards organized religion, it's history and present, in the "real" world.
now, as i understand from reading on the Net, IWD2 clerics are so interesting, powerful and versatile (sp?), that they shouldn't be overlooked, even by heretics such as myself. so, i've come up with a plan to mix-in a couple of cleric levels into 2 chars in my party. here's what i have in mind:
drow Lorekeep of Oghma 3/fighter X - this is a sniper build, the reason for Oghma is the Eagle's Splendor to be cast on the party's paladin (I don't have the game yet, can the spell target other creature than tha caster?). she's supposed to take the cleric levels a bit later on, after becomming an accomplished archer (level 4).
human cleric of ??? (1) / druid (X) - this is the party's main divine spellcaster. I thought a starting level in cleric will get some important 1st level spells, such as remove fear, and maybe the ability to free convert spells into "cure ... wounds" spells, although i don't know if this will work, as well as some other powers - now with which diety should i go here?
i'm thinking of Helm or Selune here, from the roleplaying perspective...
your thoughts...
