new cheese for morrowind...

Post by UserUnfriendly »

well, heck, you guys knew sooner or later, since user is now playing morrowind again, i would find another cheese to post...i dont go looking for the cheese, the cheese finds me...

SUNFIRE for morrowind...

ok, you already know your own spells cant hurt you, right?? otherwise it would be far too easy to cheese morrowind, as a breton atronach, cast a nice area effect spell, and soak up the spell energy to recharge...cheesing with atronach breton is already easy enough with plugins for restore magic and potions,,,,

so your own weapons and spells do not hurt you...so i thought, hmmmm......if my own damage spells cannot hurt me, is there any benefit to this????

ok, create two spells with a guild spellmaker npc....one is a ranged spell that damages or blinds or what ever...but with a very large radius.... the second is a touch spell also with a large radius, in fact identical to the first except its not range, but touch...same damage, area, duration...you will note that the COST of the first spell is much higher than the cost of the second spell, and the chances of the spell working are a lot higher...over twice the chance, and 2/3 of the ranged spell's mana is the cost of the touch version...

touch, you say? do you really want to fool around with touch spells???? i mean thats pretty close, the whole idea of magic is ranged attack, soften them up before they come in close for the blade...

how about you make the area 50 feet??? the maximum area of any spell....so you use the spell against a group of beings, use on the closest member of a group attacking you, and the area of effect makes the spell RANGE 50 feet!!!!

so essentially, touch makes the really nasty super destructo spells cheaper, by about 1/3 and more than doubles the chances of working...and by making it touch, you can for the same mana cost make it much much nastier, more bang for the buck, and by attacking with the spell on the nearest creature, the area of the spell allows you to hit many many monsters within up to 50 feet from you, can you say sunfire spell????

even better, i have yet to test out, but i think spell maker and item maker works differently, so i should be able to make a ring that is just like a sunfire spell from bg2, since every item effect target self has a area slider...can you say sunfire ring??? sure you can make the spell range, but it costs more, and has a greater chance of failing...

this is how to get the most damage per mana, and the device should work without needing to touch a enemy...the most powerful spells you can create just became cheaper by 1/3....

Good thinking! You come up with some nice ideas. It's a pity that the game is so easy, perfectly doable without cheese with the difficulty at 100%. Maybe one day a game will come out that can not be done without some inventive cheese..
