Damn that woman! Possible Spoilers inside- Tribunal

Post by Neko_of_doom »

I am at my wits end with the Curator of the Mournhold Artifact Museum.

*Spolier*

When Almalexia tells you to find the other pieces of your flaming-sword-of-death (I can't remember what it's called >^_^< ;) and you find that the curator of the museum in Mournhold has a "Similar piece of that era" and she wants compensation, so that she will give it to you.

However, earlier in the game, I gave her several other items. Say, 5 or 6. This apparently does not count towards the two things she wants you to give in exchamge for the piece of blade.

This is also very annoying because I have an artifact (The Ring of the Wind) to give her, but it never shows up in the conversation topics.

Does anyone know how to help me?

Steal back one of the artifacts that does show up in the dialogue and give it to her. Might work, or might get you reported as thief.

Yea, this quest is irritating - you have to hold back two artifacts for donation in order to pick up that sword piece. I usually save the Vampiric Ring and the Warlock's Ring for this purpose - they're lightweight, quickly found, and I never use them.

I also use the dwarven darts for taking out Amalexia - those things just do awesome damage! I collect as many as I can.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Errr..

That book; "Famed Artifacts of Tamriel"
Is it possible to sell every single item in that book to the museum?

Because I've got like 5-6 items,
(and were planning to get them all! :D )
that does'nt show in the "conversation topics" :/

I don't understand why all the artifacts in the book aren't part of the conversation, but you can't sell her what she doesn't discuss. I tried by bringing some of those "other" items and they weren't added to her list.

You'll just have to steal them back, although I don't know how it will work. If you steal from a merchant you can't sell anything to him while you have that (those) item(s) in you posession.

Museum

*SPOILER*

I have also begun to do the quest for the museum and found that not every item in the book can be sold. I poked about a bit in the files and found that the following items can not be sold (as of june 19, 2003):
Daedric Cresent Blade
Daedric Scurge
Denstagmer’s Ring
Fist of Randagulf
Masque of Clavicus Vile
Mehrunes Razor
Ring of Khajit
Ring of Surroundings
Ring of the Wind
The Mentor’s Ring

Buggy! And some of these items I have ...
:(

The following items are possible to sell but they are not in the book:
Auriel’s Bow
Auriel’s Shield
BiPolar Blade
Boots of Blinding Speed
Dagger of Symmachus
Mace of Slurring
Robe of the Lich
Ten Pace Boots
Veloth’s Judgement

I actually remeber finding the Boots of Blinding speed. They make you very, very fast but also blind ... :D

That will not work. If you speak to her with something in your inventory that you sold to the museum earlier she will call the guards and you'll get a "crime level" of 100.000 (don't know if that is the bounty but it seems to be quite high).

Anything over 1,000 causes the guards to attack you (with extreme prejudice) on sight. You can usually get bounties removed by various Thieves Guild members if you are a member, but I doubt they would deal with that level of bounty.
