keys found, need to keep them?

Post by friedmad »

I've been carrying these keys around from the beginning of them. keys like the Wand of Lightning Key and Wand of Cloudkill Key, etc.

keep or dump em?

*SPOILER*

Those wand keys (5 in total... or maybe 6 :o ) are to disarm traps on the floor in Irenicus's dungeon, second floor. You should place each of them in the colunms by the wall, according to the symbols on the floor. The keys will turn into wands, ie. Wand of Cloudkill, with one charge, which can be sold and/or recharged at shops.

If you missed the opportunity, then tough luck. :D Next time, maybe...

you can only use the wand keys in irenicus' dungeon.
as for the other keys, there's no more use for them when the door(s) that it can open are opened. dump'm and if you're not sure you've opened every door, dump'm somewhere in an inn or something

I always dump all my quest items (keys, scrolls, books etc.) in a bookcase in the adventurersmarket after I finished the quest.
This way I can get them later when I find out I missed something.

Spoiler higlite to read: the sewer key opens a secret door in the temple sewers to a mindflayer area
You can always edit the key in with shadowkeeper.

Also, to defeat beholders, try the cloack of mirroring, or balduran's shield (extra merchants)

spoiler

omg, there's a secret entrance in the sewers where mind flayers are.
you go there and you get a part of one of the best weapons in the game :/

if you haven't done it yet, just cheat the key, you had it before, so no big deal imo
