Nether Scroll and Edwin

I did the nether scroll quest to placate Edwin and when we killed the lich(?) he said something about keeping the scroll and that was the last I heard of it (it doesn't show on any inventory). At least 2 weeks of game time has gone by, but I am still in chapter 2. I have an idea of what happens to Edwin from other posts I have seen, but DO NOT give me an outright spoiler.

My question is: did something screw up or will the nether scroll somehow come into play in a later chapter?

Yep thats what I replied....Oh well I guess I will reply correctly when I play through the game a third time.

well i cant remember how i replied but eventually he does use the nether scrolls, u dont see them in his inventory or anything, it was ages in the game when he used it, chapter 7 i think, dont worry i wont tell you what happens
