Has anyone tried the mage spells tensers transformation and blackblade of disaster?

Post by Forgotten »

people rave about tensers transfermation, but i was wondering if anyone had used it in combination with black blade of disaster. Those two with whatever protections/other spells you can get on urself would appear to make a very potent warrior out your mage...

does it work or no?

Both are very useful if your caster is cornered and out of critters to summon. I prefer to let others do my dirty work. :) The big downside of Tensers is that you can't cast spells while under its influence, so remember to cast the BBD (and anything else you might need) first, then cast Tensers.

Tensers is also an emergency "heal" that can get you out of a jam.

Be careful with the Black Blade of Disaster - some have reported that it can destroy items uopn killing just like petrification.

Tenser's is awesome for mage-thieves - cast it with Mislead + Spell Immunity: Divinition for serious backstabbing fun.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

yes BBoD can destroy items because i think there is a 25% chance that your target will be desintegrated on contact

for a serious example, try cheating valen up to around 3-6 million xp....

if you level drain a monster to death, just like attribute drain if you took it to level 0, it shatters....

the black blade and tensors is absolutely great, a few times i had my entire mage based party try out a tactic that i read somewhere...

equipp everyone with dual swords, improve haste and attack meelee....

sounded fun, so i used tensors and black blade...

did not work too well, but it was interesting...

No big surprise here, but having a fighter/mage cast Tensers is truly terrifying. I Believe I had 298 hp at the end of TOB and hit for all my ten attacks per round because of whirwind. Korgan was a wimp compared to me.

IIRC, I used both of those spells heavily to beat improved bodhi & co. in ch.6 in my last runthrough as a berserker/mage.

berserk, get black blade, then the classic mislead-imp.haste-tenser's trigger and you become seriously lethal.

The true power of a figher-mage character lies in using those spells well, I think ;)
