I've noticed something odd over on the News Items Forum. I clicked on several hyperlinks, but instead of opening them in a new browser window, they redirected the page straight there. Is this something peculiar to the News Items Forum, or is it an aberration? In all of the other forums, links open in new windows. Or has my machine gone batty?

It's specific only to the News Items forum. The reason it opens in the same window is because HTML is turned on in that forum. We have to keep HTML enabled due to the fact that whatever we post on the news pages gets directly copied into its own forum post. If you post a link in any other forum, it uses the vBulletin-specific code which automatically sets the link to open in a new window.
