It really is good, isn't it? I hope they do a followup, especially since they've built a solid team, now.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
The ending cinematic did contain a launching point for a possible sequel. Let's hope sales were strong enough to warrant one.
It's nice to play a game were all the design elements, especially the UI, are so well thought out. The only real complaint I have is that the player character didn't auto-respond to being attached, but that is a small niggle in the overall scheme of things.
I didn't find the Wastelands section boring at all, as some reviews had indicated. For one thing, all the charm stones in it were of the"very large" variety and the death screams of the imps were too funny. I also found it amusing that when fighting two sand creatures the one my character was facing away from kept grabbing at her butt.
I thought the voice-acting was top-notch, too.

What I disliked most was the cliched atmosphere. I mean, they created an entirely new fantasy engine, and they could have done a whole new fantasy universe without the inevitable dwarves, elves, etc, etc. Just my own POV. I understand from one of the devs that if they do it again, they may change that.

You'll be happy to know that a followup has gone to the duplicators, just within the last few days. The skills system has undergone complete renovation; you now control two characters; and opponent AI is supposedly much better.
A 3D DD is also under development, but Larian wanted to turn around a good successor to their original title, using their current 2D engine, first.

Im nearing the end of DD and i must say i have thourghly enjoyed playing it. my only quirk with the game is the amount of npc wobbling around. Every time you try and leggit off some one gets in ya way and starts talking to you!! lol although i did find it useful once or twice. I am looking forward to BD not long to wait now
wobbling around ... what i mean is there are lots of NPC's walking around and when you point and click ya mouse someone usually ends up in your way and you have to converse with them .... unless its just me im always in a hurry whatever i do well tonight or tommorrow i am going to journey to the end. I am at the waters edge and testing the depth at the moment. Thanx for your help Fable i will be in touch if i encounter any more problems, and looking forward to BD

Good luck. And yes, in some areas it's hard to pass through without tapping an NPC accidentally, and entering the conversation, but I can only think of two like that: the Ars Magincia area market, and a few of the long street stretches in Verdistis.

I just saved the blue and red ones for training, and kept the silver and gold ones for the weapons and armor I knew in the end I was going to stay with. One tip: putting a charm in a weapon does not raise its price when you sell it. It has to be sold separately.

Well guys i made it to the end tonight, i have been poorly so took a little longer than planned.I didnt find the Demon of lies much of a challenge so i felt a little deflated once i killed him which was a shame. The 5 gaurdians leading up to the boss where good fun and Josephine gave me lots of problems... i just couldnt get her out of her spell for long enough to kill ... but alas eventually i got her and made it to the end. A thourghly enjoyable game finished just in time for the sequal. Thanx for ya help and will catch up with you in a week or two when Beyond divinity graces our PC's
