What game do you stink at?

Post by The Z »

What are the games (or genre of games) you are horrible at? For me it's been pretty much all strategy games (RTS and Turn Based) I've ever played (C&C series, all the "-craft" games, Age of Empires series, Civilization Series, Heroes of M&M Series), all flight combat games (StarLancer, X-Wing Series), Mafia (But I can do Max Payne), any spy/FPS game (Deus Ex, No One Lives Forever), The Jedi Knight Series and Quake 3 (Always been better at UT and Soldier of Fortune). Operation Flashpoint. And every Tom Clancy Game there is. There are probably a whole lot more I can't remember at the moment as well.

Thankfully I've never actually burnt any money on the above games due to a wonderful thing called "demos". :D :D :D . I'm serious. I actually don't own any of the games listed above :D :D

I'm horrible at:
The Sims (I'm too sadistic)
Half-Life (although, I'm a decent FPS person)
Diablo 2 (too concentrated on killing the monster, rather then drink the potion)
Warcraft 3 (got too used to the tank rush routine in C&C, I suppose. I'm just not one for micromanaging battles any more)
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

Strategy games. I try to micromanage to much, whilst my opponents send massive hordes at me

BG2.....I keep telling people to shut up, I forget to use the magic, and I try to kill everything with swords...even when a character isn't supposed to use swords

.....Love Enclave though..Hack and Slash deluxe :D

Morrowind is by far, still my favorite though ;)

Also I am a bad ass at Madden 2003 on PS2 its just my team is horrible. Its hard to beat people online when its Redskins vs. Raiders.... I try my hardest though.

Any game that requires a lot of micromanagement and in the case of CRPG:s, detailed character building even before the game starts, and a lot of background story. I never got out of the first scene in Morrowind, for instance...

I also totally suck at any simulation games, I suppose it is the micromanagement that strikes again.

Age of Mythology brought me down. I dunno - you're supposed to progress to some new age within like four minutes of game start, and at first I was taking more like fifteen! :o I got better, and could manage to hold off the hordes for a time, but never seemed to get ahead ... my Viking civilization always fell in the end. :(

@Scayde: I see that encouraging you to make your Player Character a Fighter in Baldur's Gate 2 was a wise choice on my part, sweetheart. After watching you play Morrowind and Enclave, I figured you would enjoy splitting skulls in Athkatla. :D

P.S. - Btw, you are doing quite well with BG2. At least I think you are. ;)

Bad at a.... Game? I don't think thats possible for me. Every game I've ever played/owned, I've caught onto in a matter of minutes, and procede to become one of the top contenders of said game. Hell, I've taken out 3:1 odds in Warcraft three, using the humans when they were still the weakest race.

The Sims. Never had the patience for it, and there's nothing to kill :D Unless killing your sim is the idea :D

I am terrible at any type of racing game. Any game where you drive or manuver some sort of vehicle I just suck. Terrible at car racing games, snowboarding games, wave runner and everything like it.
Sometimes I guess there just aren't enough rocks
