character control

Post by Eriks »

Im trying to run character control for BG2 (I want to make my human character have an elven avatar). Anyway whenever I try to open a character I get a message that says "this is not a BGII character or creature file" and when I click on help it says "file missing: ccbg2.cfg"

Any ideas on how to get this file? And will that solve my problem?

I was gonna mail the file to you but I don't have it either. Must be kismet.
But you can use Shadowkeeper to change your avatar, easily.

Erm, I was under the impression that BGII didn't have race avatar resictions... I havn't got the game but surely they didn't do that?

In BG1 would could change it any time... but now you can't? Can you still change your clothing colours? And your voice set?

Ummm you couldn't change your avatar in BG1, you can still change your colors in BG2, and as far as I know you couldn't change your voice set in BG1 either (only way I am aware of, that I haven't even tried, is to change the voice set file(s) in your save game).

I've just realized that avatars in BG arn't the portraits :P

avatras are the "models" i presume, then...

you can change your voice set in BG1 :)

if you have DebugMode=1 in baldur.ini you can press [ctrl] 6 and [ctrl] 7 to change it. not sure if it stays the same after save

You can change both the portraits and the character models with Shadowkeeper in BG2.

Shadowkeeper is avaible here.
