Three quick questions.

Incredibly minor spoilers in here somewhere.

#1. Do the boots of speed ONLY increase walking speed, or do they function like a full fledged permanent haste spell and increase attack speed as well?

#2. Where's Belm? Been through the game a few times and I seem to have completely missed it.

#3. What's the absolute last conversation in the Jaheira romance? I've made it up to the one after they spend the night together where the PC asks her "About last night...", is there anything after that or is everything over and done with from that point? I haven't seen any other conversations from her since then, ALTHOUGH for some reason she's repeated that one a few times...once after I cast a simulacrum spell on my character, and once after I was screwing around and pickpocketing Aran just for the hell of it. I have no idea why she repeated it on those two occasions, and since I've been caught in the Jaheira romance loop o' death about five times too many I get REALLY nervous when she repeats herself. Is her repeating this conversation normal, or are there more conversations to come and I've started looping again somehow?

Thanks in advance.

1. It seems to give fighters 1 extra attack, but if you're not a fighter, it just makes you run faster.

2. See Lare's answer.

3. Never gotten far with Jaheira. Sorry.

1. You mean specifically fighters, or fighter-types like rangers and paladins and fighters?

2. Thanks to both of you for the info, then. I'll hit the druid grove later.

3. Strangely enough, the second time she repeated the message seems to have something to do with Edwin. (Currently in his female form.) I have a saved game from right before she repeated the message the last time, and if I boot Edwina from the party she doesn't say it...but if I leave him in she'll initiate the conversation and his name will be the one supplying the answers on the backscroll. If I kick him out of the party then go pick him back up, she immediately initiates the repeated conversation as soon as he rejoins the party. So I'm thinking maybe this was supposed to be one of her assorted Edwin-mocking speeches that start up after his, err, transformation, and for some reason the game is using the wrong dialog and supplying the one from the end of the romance instead. As for why she did it the first time, I can only assume it had something to do with casting simulacrum on my main character. Maybe having two of him in the game caused her to trigger the dialog again for some reason. I dunno. (Is it just me, or are Jaheira's scripts jam-packed with annoying little bugs?) Any explanation as to why she's repeating the "morning after" conversation would be appreciated. I'd hate to be stuck in ANOTHER damn loop with her. Especially since I'm hoping they'll continue the romances in the expansion and I don't want to be stuck on the morning after conversation just like I was stuck in the "you enjoy that last battle" conversation earlier. Besides which, I still don't know for sure if the "about last night" conversation IS the last one in the romance for now, since I can't seem to get past it. Blah. I have yet to get through a game without Jaheira doing something odd.

Even wierder, Terminsel just appeared and gave Jaheira the harper pin, again! So now I have two of them, which would be great if someone other than Jaheira could use one. My character also recieved the 100k exp bonus again for being in a romance with Jaheira at the time, which is also great, if a little odd. Interestingly enough, this time no note was made of the event in my journal. Also, Terminsel appears regardless of whether or not I kick Edwin out of my party beforehand, so maybe he isn't responsible for the bug afterall. In any event, my question remains....why does it keep doing that?? It's rather ironic that before I couldn't get Jaheira out of one loop to get the harper pin, and now I can't STOP getting harper pins. Has this ever happened to anyone else, and any idea how to make it stop?

1. I believe fighter types. Seemed to work with rangers and paladins as well as fighters. Anyone know for sure?

I though the boots didn't give an extra attack..I can load up one of my saves to see if you want me too.

3.I believe the "About last night..." conversation is the last dialogue for her romance(Karembeu's the expert on this so ask him if it's true Image )I too received 2 Harper Pins(once in Chapter 2 and another in Chapter 6 right after meeting Drizzt)

@Weasel- I thought they gave fighters 1 xtra attack. Check and see. It seemed to happen pre-patch, but I haven't checked since.

Minsc with nothing on at level 17 has 5/2 attacks per round... with the Boots of Speed it turns to 3 attacks per round.. so I believe it will give you 1/2 attck per round
