NPC problems.

Post by Hurin »

hi, im having problems with some of the npcs i have ran into. for instance, when trying to talk to them it will say. "you can not intiate dialog. *npc's name* appears busy." Im getting this message from random npcs in almost every screen i go. I just started a new character and am currently in BG 2 soa, and trying to talk to the tavern man at the copper corenet bernard and im getting that message 80% of the times i enter the inn. help me please! :) Thankyou all for helping ahead of time.

That's a scripting bug. There is an official patch for that, which is on a sticky thread in the SoA forum. Hope this helps.

As Galuf said, its a bug, usually caused by Windows XP. Get the patch to fix it. :)

I tried downloading it and running it, but it said that I had throne of bhaal installed and that I did not need it and then it cancelled the installation.

You need the ToB Patch, not the SoA patch. You can get it here :)
