It's no inconvenience, I just thought it might be easier for you to check them out
You don't need to worry about being spoiled too much because there are links to each section and quest.

Getting in and out of the pit (spoilers)
I'm not sure what you are asking. So I will explain both how to get down into the pit and how to get out.
I assume you made it as far as Gaal the Prophet, accepted his quest and got the key to the sealed off sections of the old tunnels. Backtrack to the sealed door and unlock it with the key. Go into the sarcophogus room and talk to Sassar, a former high priest of the cult. Agree to help him in his plan to destroy the Unseeing Eye by retrieving the rift device. Continue down this passage, past a secret locked door (that's the exit from the beholder lair but only opens from the inside), and down to a set of stairs. Enter this area (checking for traps and hidden loot) and go up the passage to the right. You will come to a building with a closed bridge. Click on the roof and answer the riddles to open the bridge. Cross the bridge, kill the beholders and shadow fiends then head up the north passage. Talk to the guy in front of the temple, enter it and kill the Empathic Manifestation by casting a healing spell on him (he feeds off hate and violence) and then the Avatar appears. Agree to help the avatar and get his piece of the rift device. Return to Sassar and agree to his plan to get the other half of the device. He will give you a password to use on a guy named Tad who is standing next to the entrance to the pit (go back past where you first met Gaal, don't talk to him though, turn left and you should meet Tad.) Now give him the code phrase and go down into the pit.
To leave the pit you need to go along the stairs and enter the Lair. But first you might want to fight the zombie's and other undead in the room to the north. Once you've done that enter the lair searching for loot and the other half of the rift device. It helps to have the Shield of Balduran for this area (buy it from the bonus merchant in the Waukeen Market area. Travel along the outer circle of the lair and enter the various side paths. The rift part is in one of these. When you find it the two parts they join to form a wand with one charge. Now equip the device in your Quick Item slot. Double back and you will immediately be attacked by the Unseeing Eye. Use the Rift Device to weaken him and then hit him once to finish him off. Continue to the left to find the exit (the door that was locked along the path between the sarcophogus and the stairs down to the Avatar's area.) You might want to explore the lair and kill anyone left before exiting.
Return the spent rift device to the avatar (if you try to leave the sewers with it you will die). Now go back to the cult area and kill Gaal and his men. Loot their bodies and the rooms. Now return to the Temple of Helm to get your reward (or Temple of Lethandar, depending on who gave you the quest).
