Need Help in Chapter Two

Alright I'm in Chapter two and I'm in the Ice Temple. I have beaten everyone on this level that I was suppose to. I have freed all prison and used the circular dias to release the abishai and to unlock the doors. but for some reason the door that leads down stairs are locked and it says there is a ward on it that prevents minor spells. i have tried everything but i cannot get that door opened. Please help me get downstairs to Level two. Email me a solution at lambert_chad@hotmail.com
