I would like to inform you of a mod of mine currently in progress. The text below is taken from the Concept page from the site:

This is a mod for Baldur's Gate - Tales of the Sword Coast. As far as I know, it should work with the Original Saga.

Aims - Baldur's Gate Classic:

The first aim will be to change the existing game, making it match the official AD&D rules as much as possible. When this cannot be done, I am going to make up a solution. This will affect the NPCs, monsters, items, spells and rules of the game. Some rules cannot be changed, however, as they are hardcoded and some rules cannot be added to the game.

There are a couple of rules which I have decided to ignore. So far these include movement rates and drow elves. All PC races will continue to have the same movement rates. Drow elves will keep their magic resistance while above ground but they will not be given any of their innate abilities.

I intend to make the game more difficult overall. This will not be accomplished by giving enemies a better AC and more hit points but rather through improving the AI. NPCs should use their potions and coorperate a lot more. However, a few fights *will* be made more difficult to take into consideration the improved abilities of the PCs, most of all the final fight with Sarevok.

In an attempt to make the game more like P&P a lot of generic magical items will be removed and other magical items will be re-located so that they are obtained by the party at an appropriate level.

Aims - The Fields of the Dead:

The second part of this mod deals with three or four new areas on the world map. These will be free for exploration whenever the player wants and will contain a fair amount of new quests.

I'll be very happy with improved AI.
You're not telling us a lot about 'The fields of the dead'... good! Keep it that way. I don't want to find out anything about it except by playing the mod! ;) :)
