No reason to sleep

Okay here is an idea

Ways to restore those three colored bars on your screen:

Health: Constant effect
Fatigue: Constant effect
Magicka: Uh oh not really a spell for restore magicka (closest I can think of is absorb spell points anyway....)

Okay one way that does work to restore magicka without sleeping or using potions or scrolls:

Choose the Atronach as your birth sign
Summon an Ancestral ghost and attack it
Let it do it's two fire spells on you
Kill it, Repeat

A way to make this more effective is to cast some kind of spell absorbtion on yourself (Also items like trebonis's amulet help I believe it is possible to raise your absorbtion to 100)

Alright another way is to create an item that damages you with magicka and you can absorb that. (Of course you have to have some level of spell absorbtion and it's only worth it if its 50 or above)

So anyway minor thoughts there but the ancesteral ghost method works really well....

urm..once you install the latest patch, the ancestrial ghosts tricks no longer work...but at morrowind summit is a bunch of small mods that will allow you regenerate magic...

what I do is I modify using tes construction set the womburn spell...I (evil evil cackle!!!!) modify the spell, so that instead of non regenerating magicka, it actually regenerates it!!!

hahhahahha!!!!!!!!!!

having an item that does a constant effect damage on yourself will only hurt you, not regenerate magicka...

besides, you really really don't need much magic in the game...enchant items for all your needs...and if you really want to play uber battle mage, create some massively nasty spells, via a spell maker, and study alchemy and make a bunch of magic restore and intelligence boosting potions...using intelligence boosting cheese, you can raise it to several thousand points, and regenerate hundreds of magic points per second...

create incredibly expensive armegeddon spells that fry everything in a 100 foot radius with fire, electricity, and frost damage, and absorbs magicka...and destroy balmora...hahhahhahah!!!!!!!!!
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

Muwahahahahhahahha!!!

Heh, one way to become a super mage is to have fortify intelligence items (trebonus's amulet) be an altmer and have the sign of atronarch. This makes almost 600 magicka  Of course that means that you need about 10 restore magicka potions to get your bar full...
