Exp help
Thnx. Can you recommend some good sources for exp with as little combat as possible? I'm currently doing the Mae'Var thing, but I ran into three vampies right before the house of the wizard I'm to kill for Edwin. Chapter three, so they attack automatically.
Believe you can, believe you can't;
either way, you're right.
Playing on pc, GOTY, currently unmodded.

If the vampys slaughter your party, you could reload, rest and do the quest during the day, but vampys are decent XP so have a cleric blast them, or even do a negative plane prot on one fighter and then shoot +2 arrows/bullets at them/undead blasting throwing axe from the Copper after doing the slaver quest.
quick list of some low-fight easy quests:
-Graveyard related:the Littleman stuffed doll quest for the restless boy in the graveyard (copper coronet for the doll); the paladin-homeless girl quest; kill the crypt king.
-Bridge dist. skinner quest (talk to the Leutenant)
-Copper coronet and slaver quest in the slums.
-Poisoned man to the harpers/Xzar quest
-jaheria quest (if you have her go to the Sea's Bounty inn at the docks to get it going)
Maevar is a good choice. Loads of cash quickly. Be sure to loot the theif stronghold.

done them all, except the jaheira one, but this is a fully created party, so... that's a no-go. Can you be a bit more precise on the vampy-blasting? My cleric doesn't have the mayor attack spells versus undead, and there's three of them for frick's sake.

vampy-blasing, I was thinking of false dawn (6th level), sunray (7th level)--either cleric or Daystar. You could repluse undead (5th level) from your cleric and have your neg plane protected (4th level) fighter go in hacking with missle support, Azeredge will help because of the save or destroyed with each hit (assuming someone in your party has a good alignment to weild it, i've even have fighters chuck it who aren't proficient in axes since vamp AC's aren't very good, and if hasted non-prof will still get 2 attacks). The cleric may have to run in for a neg plane prot refresh, or switch fighters (with new neg. prot.) if the first front liner gets too hacked. An oil of speed and strength potion with help the front line fighter of course.
Spoiler:
If you havn't yet, maybe head to the little hidden room at the Crooked Crane at the city exit for Daystar. There is a lich fight (which isn't too bad if you go in there hasted and swinging with decent missle weapons (plug for azeredge) before his buffs kick in, and then you could even get daystar out, ID it, and blast him while he's protected) for some good XP. With low-level parties without lv.6+ mage protection removal, I have them run in and out of his room to avoid the ali-dalzim. But look out, he'll follow you. Daystar is a route for some serious undead blasting with your neg plane prot fighter from Daystar's sunray.
