Wind back your minds to Irenicus's prison. Remember when Jaheria finds Khalids dead body on the table? I have found that is a good way to get rid of her without feeling sypathetic for her. She disapears so you have to go to the Harper HQ to get her back, I think. Still, for those of you who dont like her (me, me!) you can finally(pick me!) get rid of her!

Gods, the woman is distraught in grief over the death and horrific dismemberment of her long-time lover and companion, who suddenly turns up before her eyes. And you find *that* a good point to get rid of her without feeling sympathetic?

But it was just Khalid, nothing to be missed much

Forget that "silly ass" accent they gave Khalid in BG1. It wasn't his fault. I still think that Mjcw's post proves he's the nearest thing in BG2 to chaotic evil.

Yeah, that sounds alot like me. I finally got rid of her! You see, she was very rude, so she went away. It was quite funny!

If I don't want her (or Minsc) I Just rescure them for the 3,000 xp then in the same dialogue suggest we split up. Jaheira objects but will leave. Minsc tells me I am as smart as Boo sometimes (I think he meant it as a compliment.)

Ech, I find Jahiera to be an insufferable milk-sop. I have foundmyself many times just wanting to yell at my computer "THE BALANCE?! I'LL SHOW YOU WHERE YOU CNA PUT YOUR BALANCE!" but I dont' for fear of getting the homicidal neighbors (and their dogs from hell) riled up.

So let her cry over her eviscerated cowar-er husband. Never knew what she saw in him anyways...

Sad, very sad, the lot of you. Fine druid, can inflict you all with insects, and resurrect people who die. You know, in many cultures she would be worshipped.

And burned.

Oh yeah, and quartered, don't forget the quartering of the charred corpse. Y'know, just for good measure?

what do you all have against jaheira? shes really good gamewise and only bad personalitywise because her husband's dead! Shes really a sensitive and very openminded thoughtful person.

Well, besides the personality issues? Besides those? She gets to be a bit of a hinderance later in the game. Requiring certain (really good) items just to keep her competitive. Items that would be better spent on Anomen (he's not so bad once you get a Helm of Opposing Alingment on him... MWEHEHEHEHE!), Keldorn (BWAHAHAHAHAHA-), or Misnc (-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! DRAG THEM DOWN! DRAG THEM ALL DOWN WITH ME!)

Nope, there is no mention of cheesey encheladas in the game, I just know Cespenar's speech patterns.

I usually try to stay out of NPC bashing....but...can't stand jaheira. If she is sooo good, how come she doesn't resurrect Kahlid?? Buy a scroll if she isn't high enough level yet. Carry out the corpse... utterly useless IMO

*apologies to all who like Jaheira. It really isn't your fault. Just having a bad hair day. In a fit of desperation I am replaying BG2 (again) and tried to put up with Jaheira but couldn't (again)*

she is a harper and ressurecting him just to serve herself would be disrupting the balance. She can ressurect party members because that is to help defeat good or evil and stop large powers (such as irenicus) disrupting the balance themselves

I was being somewhat facetious regarding the ressurection of Khalid.... But since you bring it up I have to say it is a somewhat twisted (and unbalanced) view that Jaheira apparently has. All through BG1 we worked hard (those who had Khalid) to develop his NPC character and I for one was rather pleased with how well he functioned towards the end. In fact I preferred him to Minsc. Given that most others too had him as part of their party (and assumed in the BG2 first scenario) then he clearly was an integral part of the group fighting evil as so should have been resurrected. Surely the PC would have infuence over her decision (I would have liked him back). So I don't buy the "unbalanced act" argument at all.

And while I am on a gripe session, I never appreciated the fact that they made Imoen T/M. Her T level sucks and she is really not up to snuff on M by the time she is rescued relative to the rest of the party. Since the other thief

is no longer available, Imoen as a straight T would have been much more useful. They could have arrested her at the beginning for using a wand or some such.

She couldn't do it because, in her words, "The body has been desecrated!"

In other words, she was dealing with a high-level mage (arch-mage, even!) who tortured him to death with no intent of letting him be revived. He damaged the body as badly as could be done without actualy destroying it. From the words used, I think that he did something along the lines of flaying the body, layer by layer (First the skin, then another layer that deep, then another, untill you have something that looks like a sliced dinner ham... only in human form)

...well that put me off the chocolate... I still think it is a lame excuse but defer to your graphic interpretation of cause and effect..

Sorry, I'm a fan-fic writer who has a vivid imagination, a strong stomache, and an absolute hatred of watering down stories to make them fit for "Decent people" to read.

You could always take pity on her when see sees him dead and move to spare her the pain by ensuring she will accompany him into the great unknown.

I wouldn't do that personally though, since it's so much more fun to wait and use all the good stuff to torture Aerie endlessly.
