Missions SideQuest, i cant find griff

I finished the Jawa quest and i released them. But Missions quest was unavalible at the time. Now ive gone back to find Griff and i talked to the Chieftain, he told me griff was free to go, but griff is no where to be found. Did i do something wrong? Can i not find Griff?

I read on another string that the Griff quest was gliched. If you open the door to his cell befor you talk to the Chief then he will not apper...thats if you do it the Light Side way
Dosnt matter too much anyways! Hes more of a whiner then then Carth and Juhani put together.
