Which items can you import with your character from Baldur's Gate I? I saw a site which listed all the magical items you could take with you (there were about a dozen or so), but I've now lost the URL - doh! The only thing I can remember is the golden pantaloons... If someone can point me to the relevent URL, or can remember all the items, I would be most grateful! Thanks
Paul
Which items can you import from BG?
Almost all of them - though some of them will be missing their descriptions and/or be slightly altered. If you're talking about things the game allows you to keep at the start, however, then that would be just the Golden Pantaloons. The rest you either find throughout the game or have to cheat in.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

There are lots of items that happen to appear in both BG1 and BG2. There is indeed a flame sword (Flame Tongue, I think) that you find in both games, but you don't import it. The Cursed Berserking Sword +3 that you took from Captain Brage in BG1 also makes another appearance, but you don't have to manually import them. Those items would come in whether you imported your character from BG1 or not. The Golden Pantaloons, however, obviously only appear if you import your character. There are also ways to acquire every piece of equipment in your PC's inventory at the time of exportation as well.
