dm_spawnitem not working

I'm about to talk to Lady Aribeth after grabbing all 4 of the Waterdhavian creatures. I want to finish off all the subquests before proceeding, and the only one that is left is Daelan's henchman quest. I checked all the chests on the ship in the docks that is supposed to hold it, but it's not there.

I figured it's a glitch, so I tried to summon the item. I got the item ID from gamefaqs (http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/ ... s_item.txt) and entered the right command to spawn the brooch:

DebugMode 1
dm_spawnitem nw_hen_dae1qt
DebugMode 0

Nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Well, it should be at a ship with three people, in a box to the left side and back. You might have killed the people to get a uniform.

Unfortunally - I don't know how dm_spawnitem works excatly, so can't help you there yet ... but will try to find out.

Turns out I was misspelling the item name. Once I figured that out the item spawned just fine.

I'm also having a huuuge problem with the debugmode

I'm ingame
I type ` to open the box and type DebugMode 1
doesn't work...
when i type DebugMode it gives me a message "succesfull' of somet like that.
But after that the codes don't work either...
What am i doing wrong here?
